The SCAA message board on this website has had to be removed, as it has been attracting a large amount of spam postings over the last few months. Apologies to the genuine users of the message board, but you are now in the minority compared to the spam users. For the short term, please send any items you want announcing to the address at the top of this page, and I will add them to this page.

At the All British Field Championship at Pentref last weekend, Jane Rees successfully defended her title and has ended this selection round as G.B. No.1 Lady Barebow. She has been selected for the World Games in Duisburg in July and the XVI European Field Archery Championship in Slovenia in September. The World Games is a FITA invitation event open only to the top 12 in the world. These will be Jane's sixth and seventh appearances for G.B. in international events.
Andrew Rees has been selected to represent G.B. for the first time at the XVI European Field Archery Championship in Slovenia. This will be Andrew's first appearance for G.B. in an international event.
Andrew will become the third international from Ballands, following Jane and Val Pooke, who represented G.B. at the VIII World Field Archery Championship in 1982.

To: All Somerset Archers
From: Coastal Archers, Berrow
Due to the disinterest shown in Coastal Archers' York/Hereford last summer we now propose to change the round to a FITA.
This will be run as a friendly, with only one detail, 3 archers to a boss, 6 arrows an end at the 2 longest distances, no face marking and gnas bouncer rule. No practice but 6 sighter arrows. The archers to move their own targets.
This round will start at 10am and finish at a reasonable time. If space permits we will run a short metric starting late morning / early afternoon. We will make awards and the date is Sunday 24th July 2005. We expect to make barbecued food available.
Coastal archers request that you place this information on your club notice board or make your archers aware of it. It well be an ideal friendly way to introduce your new archers to full distance tournament shooting.
Entry forms will be available from mid march from Marion Kerby, telephone 01278 751 277
