SCAA AGM Proposals

Please take note of two important proposals being taken to the SCAA AGM in February, as these have implications for all archers in the county:

  1. That the constitution be changed to allow only two council meetings per year, the first to be in the Spring and held concurrent with the AGM. The second to be held in the Autumn.
  2. That the constitution be changed so that any elected officer of the council may only serve in the elected position for a maximum of three years and that they may not fill the same position again for a further three years.

The January meeting minutes add a note to item 2 in that should any two of the 'prime' positions (chairman, secretary and treasurer) are not filled in a given year then the society would be wound up as stated in the constitution.  Therefore it is important that all SCAA archers are aware of these proposals and have the opportunity to be represented at the forthcoming AGM.
