County Records for recognised Distances and Rounds Shot may be
claimed upon the County Records Officer being in receipt of an official
tournament results sheet and/or score card covering the respective
Record claim. Record claimants (archer/ club records officer or coach) should note:
a. The Record claimed must be shot in Open Tournament or a
recognised Club Championship shoot. Record claims for distances or
rounds shot in practice or on Club Target Days are not acceptable.
b. Record claims are not restricted to either National or
World Record Status shoots.
c. A County Record may be claimed for rounds shot anywhere,
providing that the claimant is:
i) Normally a Resident of
the County.
ii) Is affiliated to the GNAS,
either through a County Club or as an individual member, plus the SCAA
and GWAS. Visitors are not allowed to claim a County Record.
The preferred method of claiming a record is via email
on the claim form but a submission
can be made by post with the details above, together with the score highlighted on the
official results
sheet, to the County Records Officer.
Record claims are to be advised to the County Records Officer as soon as
practicable, no later than 3 months after the end of the tournament.
